This coming year, is our Parade's 20th anniversary! Join us in celebrating our two decades of prosperity and pride.

About us

The Bronx Puerto Rican Day Parade Inc. is held in May, and it is usually the first major activity held in the Bronx. Since it occurs early in the year, citywide local colleges, high schools and elementary schools can join the well over 100 participating organizations marching down the famed Grand Concourse.

Additionally joining us along the Grand Concourse are our corporate sponsors, local small businesses, national/state and locally-elected officials, community members, unions, as well as city and state agencies with local, community-based organizations.

Our parade will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2008, and we are dedicating this year's parade to “El Jibarito” and “Our Extended Family”. We are embracing the words written on the plaque placed on the Statue of Liberty, “Give Me Your Poor, Your Tired, and Your Huddled Masses”. If indeed we are great because of our diversity then let us be strong enough to celebrate our cultural differences. We are inviting all ethnic groups to our celebrations as we honor our fore fathers with gratitude and respect.

Sincerely yours,

Francisco M. González Luz Reyes Devine
